The Essence: A sparkling black, southerly, evoking the trajectory of stardust.

The Pigment: Qualified as the 7th colour of the Rainbow, Indigo has an extraordinary and unexpected colour palette. In the heart of the Indus Valley, indigotin-tinted blue textiles emerge from the city of Mohenjo-Daro, while in Central America, Mayan frescoes and statues reveal the red of indirubin. In Africa, women use it to dye their bodies and hair a deep black. Indigo also has incredible biological properties.
