Two Italian noses meet in Germany at a fragrance outing, one experienced, Aturetto, one obsessed, Alessandro. Alessandro went on to create fragrances for Diesel.

Years later Alessandro decided to set out on his own and, with the help of his old friend Arturetto, formed Nasomatto in Amsterdam.
