Madame Merle originally created her now famous skin treatment for French military officers suffering from tropical skin irritations while living in Indochine during the first part of the 20^th century. FRICTION DE FOUCAUD was successfully launched in 1946 and is still used today by the French Foreign Legion. For more than 60 years its secret formula has remained unchanged.
