Mama Mio Clean Slate Cleanser

Clean Slate is soap free, sodium laureth and lauryl sulphate free – in fact it is completely free from all the nasties you often find in high performance cleansers. We wanted to create a cleanser that gives you a really good deep cleanse but with ZERO tightness and NO stripping of your delicate skin. Clean Slate is based on ecocertified coconut derived gentle cleansers blended with aloe vera leaf juice, pre+probiotics, moisturiisng omegas and firming proteins. And, yes, it smells absolutely gorgeous.

What exactly are these ingredients?

Aloe Vera
Nature’s wonderplant, super-nurturing, calming, restorative, Aloe Vera increases the availability of oxygen to the skin and so helps maintain the strength of the skin tissues. We use aloe vera leaf juice in many of our skincare products to care for your skin at every level.
Aloe barbadensis gel is a powerful moisturiser, which penetrates the skin supplying moisture directly to the tissues. It is renowned for its soothing and calming effect on burns. Aloe improves skin tone and colour by increasing the blood flow to the areas of application. It reduces skin redness, and displays a synergistic effect with the other anti-inflammatory ingredients used in our products.

Ecoskin
A natural pre+probiotics complex derived from cold pressed yacon roots and lactobacillus probiotics that strengthens and balances your skin’s natural defense system whilst nourishing and smoothing.

Glycerin
Glycerin is a wonderful humectant that attracts and retains moisture. Humectants are different to superficial moisturisers because they bond with the outer layers of your skin to keep the irritants OUT and the moisture IN. Many traditional moisturisers do not seal in the body’s own moisture but artificially lubricate and mask the dryness of the outer layers of the skin – a bit like boot polish. When they wear off, the lubrication is gone and the original dryness remains. Humectants seal the skin and hold hydration in, increasing elasticity at a much deeper level. Our glycerin is 100% vegetable derived.

Phylderm Vegetal C2
Made with non GMO soy, this is a blend of highly nutritious soy proteins comprised of amino acids and peptides with great short and long terms benefits. Short term, it boost oxygen consumption and increases the natural energy of our skin cells. Long term, it stimulates cell renewal to give brighter, fresher skin.

Tritisol
Derived from wheat protein, this is a superb skin firmer and tightner. It works on the surface of your skin, smoothing out fine lines and creating a perfect base. Tritisol is wonderful at ensuring your skin retains its natural moisture.

Omega-rich Oils
Omegas are essential fatty acids that are vital to the health of every cell in your body. Often your diet can be low in the key omegas needed for healthy nourished skin so we include omega rich ingredients in our Face skincare to give your skin the vital superfood it needs.

Our Essential Oil Fragrance
Our completely natural Face fragrance is a gorgeous blend of four essential oils – Lavender, Lavandin, Chamomile and Mandarin oils. Each oil has been carefully chosen for its aromatic quality and of course, for its physical and psychological benefits.

Lavender and its lesser known cousin Lavandin, are very calming, balancing and great at invigorating the skin; they enhance natural cell renewal, improving the skin’s health and texture, so the skin is smoother, softer and luminous.

Mandarin oil is wonderful to help refine the texture of skin, while also having good natural antiseptic and cell rejuvenating properties.

Chamomile is an ideal ingredient to be used in skin care, and especially where inflammation may be present, such as in various skin problems, including spots, irritation and other forms of rashes and skin complaints. Chamomile is calming, nurturing and soothing and again, very helpful in promoting cell rejuvenation.
