My husband of 24 years had dry, cracked, bleeding, thick and calloused skin that was not cured by anything including topical and oral steroids! I bought this 2 years ago and I am finally able to hold his hand! He ran out without telling me and I noticed the roughness after a few days of not using. He tried to substitute washing with baby oil and petroleum jelly to no avail. My only wish is that I could buy this at retail stores again like Bath & Body Works. They stopped carrying this about a year ago. This way I can replace it fast for "emergencies"! Every sink in my home has a jar of this cleanser. Hopefully Bigelow will continue to make this forever! I purchased this as a last resort. I have tried several lotions, ointments, soaps, cleansers, anything I could get my hands on. I live in Montana and every winter my hands crack open and bleed. This product is amazing. I purchased it along with the Chapped hands ointment which I only use when my skin actually cracks, since it is quite thick and harder to spread. The cleanser is easy to apply, works instantly, and makes my hands very smooth and comfortable. I highly recommend anyone with dry skin problems to pick up a container.
